Banks and credit card companies use their access to the banking system to try to kill businesses engaged in the firearms industry. Now, McMillian Firearms is saying they will provide credit card services.
One individual was hurt and one was taken into custody at a shooting in Winston-Salem, North Carolina Friday. The good news is that the other 50 million firearms helpfully did not participate in the shooting.
President Obama bypasses Congress with a new executive order that stops re-importation of firearms into the USA, presumably military surplus firearms. The executive order is aimed at the Civilian Marksmanship program, they say.

The Bloomberg's Mayors Against Illegal Guns organization is helping antigun mayors with fig leaves to impose gun control by inviting individuals to send postcards demanding more gun control.
Apparently a big push is starting in Pennsylvania for "common sense gun control laws". A bus tour is set to go to 25 states to pressure congressmen to impose even greater constrictions on firearms. Without a doubt part of the Democratic Party's drive to retake the House in 2014.
KeyBanc Capital is reporting that gun manufacturers' stock may be ready to fall this fall. It appears that supply is finally catching up to demand. Unfortunately the fascist impulses of antigunners is intensifying.
New York is touting its latest victory against illegal guns, by luring criminals into selling illegally obtained guns. The mix is about what you'd expect. Every one of the guns were illegally obtained, 90 percent were stolen, the rest acquired through straw purchases. Maybe we need common sense cop control.

Don't why it is even necessary to use the term draconian to describe California gun laws, except that lawmakers in Sacramento are planning even more Draconian gun laws. It is as though they understand the immutable relationship between tyranny and an armed polite society. And they are voting for tyranny.
The leftist editor of the New York newspaper which published an interactive map of local gun owners is out of a job. Caryn McBride was laid off last week in a round of newsroom cuts.
Gun permit requests are nearly doubled what they were in two previous years in Newtown, Connecticut, where 27 children and adults were gunned down by a crazed teen. Actual gun purchases under the radar sans permits are prolly triple.

Wow. Evil banks coming under regulations are actually evil as they do stuff like close accounts of companies they don't like, such as Defense Distributed. Defense Distributed released plans for the 3D printed gun earlier in the year only to pull the documents. Now, JP Morgan Chase Bank has terminated Defense Distributed's accounts.
Sipsey Street Irregulars has some tips (and links) for keeping your powder dry, literally.
A national news website comes up with several reasons why gun sales have dropped so much. Short answer? Gun control. But this hews to government background check statistics. Not to private sales which may well dwarf dealer gun sales. Dunno.
Finally, someone is doing something about toy guns. In St. Louis they are swapping toy guns for educational toys. No report if anyone has turned in any assault toys. Or ball gags. You know: silencers.
