From the Land of Make believe (AKA Colorado), a gun buy back event was cancelled after it was learned under new Colorado law, every buyback would have to go through universal background checks.
Meanwhile, General Electric Capital is doing their small part in the gun grabbing program by cutting off lending to gun shops. And we were told new banking regulations would only target the rich!
If you want to learn how to cast your own bullets, go here.

This Week in Guns, July 20th, 2013

Americans own nearly half of the privately owned firearms on the planet, says the National Journal. They say that like it's a bad thing.
California congressman Henry Waxman has written legislation to ban 80 percent (unfinished) gun receivers. Pretty funny, but not so funny if the left gains both houses in 2014.
At the moment it appears that 80 percent receivers for the popular AR-15 pattern rifles are hard to find, as production has not matched demand. Ares Armor is one supplier, but they are out. H&H Tactical is another, but has only four left in stock. According to the St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner, KT Ordnance has sold more than 10,000 80 percent receivers for AR pattern rifles, AR-10 and AR-15.
And that's just the AR pattern receivers. AKs are another matter altogether.
Is Waxman really going to ban all those rifles?

This Week in Guns, July 13th, 2013
By Chris Covert
Rantburg.com
Rhode Island legislators adjourned last week after a bill aimed at banning assault weapon was tabled for the session. Other measures did pass including a law making it illegal to commit a crime with a stolen gun. (WTF?!)
Ruger Firearms opens a new factory in North Carolina, taking advantage of NC's right to work status, and more likely, less tyrannical political class. No word if Beretta is planning to exit Maryland.
If you have the ability to use a firearm for self defense and the ammunition, consider getting sometactical firearms training from former British special forces Max Velocity. Max conducts weekly field training classes on the basics of tactics in the field. Even if you don't believe the US will decline into civil war, it would be better to know how to counter hostiles who are gunning for you.
And finally, homemade Glocks.
